In Tourney Machine, creating the games and scheduling the games are separate processes. First, the games need to be created, then you can use our scheduling tools to schedule them.
To generate the matchups for a division, click the Pool Games tab within that division, and click the Generate Games link.
Enter the number of pool games you want each team to play. For example, if you want each team to have 4 pool games you'll enter 4.
- If you're trying to generate more pool games than there are teams in the pool/division you'll want to use the Round Robin Matchup Generator. If you want to generate matchups by pool you can use the Round Robin Matchup Generator for that as well.
- It's mathematically impossible to have an odd number of teams play an odd number of games, a team will always get shorted a game (for example 5 teams playing 3 games) This is most commonly fixed by giving each team an even amount of games (for example 5 teams playing 2 or 4 games), or by giving a team an extra game so that the other team can get their last game. Then you'll make the game exhibition for just the team getting the extra game so everyone is being ranked based on the same amount of games.
Once the games are generated you'll see them under the Pool Games tab. To edit you can click on each game individually.
You can also add/edit games manually using the Bulk Edit Games link under the Pool Games tab.
